Shell/Octopus - The Great British Insulation Scheme
I was with Shell when I applied for the GB Insulation Scheme and nothing happened. My account has now been moved over to Octopus, I contacted them and was told they don't have access to the specific details of my application through Shell Energy. They recommend me contacting Shell for an update on the status of my application. I'm a bit confused by this as Shell no longer exists (I think?) Has anyone else had any movement on their applications or any similar circumstances?

This scheme like many others doesnt seem great for those in old rented houses, friend of mine got a response saying the property doesnt comply with the scheme. It seems the walls have to be of a certain type and of course like many other schemes it doesnt offer boiler replacements or double glazing for renters.

Octopus took over the Shell Energy operation and i read that they're not integrating it into their systems in the short term, so saying they don't have the info sounds like a fob-off.
