Insurance Company Want Me To Pay £50 Cancellation Fee

    I was given one month to insure a new car on the existing policy when my car was written off in a fault accident. 

    This was not in the policy document. It was advised by the insurance company when  they confirmed the write off settlement.

    I am with Aviva. They charge a fee for cancellation or changes made by phone, but no charges if done online. Maybe check if your insurer is similar.
