Need a short term loan...

Great website this
Hi all, basically I'm going self-employed after working years for 'the man'.
I'm buying a business worth £6000, and I will definitely be able to repay the full amount within a year. In fact, I could only need to borrow around £4000 as I have some 2 grand's worth of savings.
So I was thinking of taking up a super balance transfer card that will allow me to pay the needed amount straight into my bank account and pay it back within the given time, as opposed to getting a short term loan.
I already have 2 cc's (A&L and Abbey) that are both part of the MBNA group, and I read there might be a problem applying for the Virgin one, or get a low limit. Could someone give some advice as to what to do please?
Another thread pointed to http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.htm and to look at the ones with "
Card with SBT facility". Am I on the right track?
Thank you
