Signed up to EDF Essentials 1Yr Mar25v6 - but gas only..

I am with EDF on the deemed tariff and decided to sign up to the Mar25v6 fix.
My electricity is with Fuse Energy, so I had accepted that I need to move it to EDF as the fix was for dual fuel or electricity only.

However, I've been able to change my deemed Gas tariff to the 1yr fix without having dual fuel with EDF. There was a 'contact us if you want to move your electricity to EDF' message, but it didn't stop the request.

Question is - will I still need me to move my electricity to EDF for this fix?
Should I keep electricity with Fuse (which is ~£2.50/month more than EDF From April) so I can keep my options open for an electricity fix somewhere else?

The only answer I can think of is to either ask EDF or wait and see if EDF communicate to you about it.

That fix is offered to electricity only customers via new customer quote page, not offered via Uswitch.

I've had confirmation by email this morning that my gas is on the Mar25v6 fix, so whether it is a loophole or by design - if you are an existing EDF customer with gas only, you can get the 1 year fix.
