Some companies often do an annual payrise.
Often in line with inflation. Just wondered what people were given for 2024, if anything.
Going first... just found out that we are getting 3% at my company. Doesnt sound too shabby. Better than a slap in the face, I guess lol.
Are you getting or gotten a rise for 2024?

A simple % figure really doesn't tell you much. The business sector, profitability in the private sector etc all come into it.

We’re still waiting for our 2023 pay rise - due August 2023, likely to be actually paid in July 2024. So I don’t think they’ve started thinking about 2024 yet… (public sector)0

10.1%, with a promotion. Private sector engineering consultancy.
General increase was 6%.
Edit: plus 5% exceptional bonus which I also received with my previous two promotions at this company.0 -
Public sector, we won't find out until May/June what this year's pay increase will be. They aim to pay in July back dated to April. I'm assuming it'll be around 3.5%, however sounds like strike action is likely in my department so may impact the dates above.
Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
Last year - 9% with a one off £1000 payment. This year - CPI+1% as published in April. Plus £750 one off payment. Backdated to Jan0

Public Sector NHS
they haven’t even put in the pay review body recommendations yet so who knows.
funny how the MPs managed to get theirs in while inflation was (allegedly) higher.
could go one of two ways- they will either give a decent offer to try and buy votes or totally screw us over knowing they won’t be around next year anyway to deal with the fallout.
They will probably go with a middle ground and give B5 and below a good % and screw over the smaller group of most experienced staff (as usual)0 -
private sector IT - just over 4%, I was nervous about it because last year my old manager tried to back out of giving me anything at all after promising a similar amount. Had lots of issues last year but my new manager graded me quite positively and so I'm happy, he's done things fair.0

Council and we got 5%.
Husband in manufacturing sector and got 15%.0 -
Social care, voluntary sector. Given there is a current round of redundancies and restructuring going on, I’m not expecting anything. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
