Issue switching from Scottish Power to EDF

Hi everyone, I've been with Scottish Power for a fair few years now but recently decided to switch to EDF due to their new 1 year dual-fuel fix that was much cheaper per KWH than my current plan. Today is my switch day and I received an email from EDF stating that my switch is complete. However upon opening it, it only mentions my gas supply, nothing about electric, but it should be switching both supplies over. I ring EDF and they tell me that Scottish Power have withdrawn the electric switch over. I then ring Scottish Power and they tell me that there is no record of ever getting a switching request for the electric supply. I then ring EDF back and they say they as far as they can see they did send a request for the electric and they can't send another one due to this. 

They said they will investigate this further and I am waiting a call back but this is really stressing me out. I've not experienced an issue like this previously. Has anyone else? Does this sort of issue get resolved easily in the end for people?

Just relax, don't waste any more time phoning.

Wait until 28 days from your original switch then initiate another switch online.
