Chase cashback account and alternitives?

Totally agree with the purchase credit card option - I've just taken out two cards (RBS and Natwest) that allow for 19 months interest free purchases - I've enough spends on both to be able to get over £800 in interest by the time the deals end vs approx £160 were I to use the 1% cashback on chase.surreysaver said:Why don't you just deposit £1,500 a month into the account? Any money you're not going to spend just take out again.
Alternatively, get a 0% on purchases credit card, and the money you're not using to pay it off put into an easy access savings account which pays ~5% interest. That'll earn you more than £100

If you don't want to use a credit card I don't think there are any cashback on "everything" (with a fairly hefty list of exclusions) like Chase used to be apart from Nationwide for newbies and that's capped at £5 per month.
Take a look in your local supermarket at what gift cards they sell. Buying these attracts 1% supermarket spending cashback via Chase still. You may well find you can get 1% on the majority of your spending still, you'll be able to get One for All cards that can be used at a lot wider range of retailers than Chase offer cashback at. There'll also be a load of eating out options of you're into that and probably plenty of other things too.0 -
Just my opinion but gift cards and one4all are not worth the effort for only 1% saving.
If 1% is enough motivation then may as well try Airtime Rewards, Cats Yard, Jam Doughnut etc for better discounts.

Agree there are sometimes better rewards elsewhere (never heard of Cats Yard so thanks for that) 1% is better than nothing though and not really any effort if you pick it up with your shopping if it's something that won't get any discount elsewhere.crumpet_man said:Just my opinion but gift cards and one4all are not worth the effort for only 1% saving.

You can double dip with one of the above (also TopGiftcards and Complete Savings, and workplace schemes) and a Santander Edge CC or a Barclaycard Avios CC.crumpet_man said:Just my opinion but gift cards and one4all are not worth the effort for only 1% saving.

Trading 212 offer a prepaid card which pays 0.5% cashback on everything and does not charges fees for overseas usage. I'm using as a backup to Amex.0
