IPOD / ITUNES help... Argghhh

in Techie Stuff
I want to put the new Verve DVD on my 80gb ipod classic... but when I put the dvd in the laptop.. it will nly open in Real Player even though Itunes is the default.. I cant open it in Itunes... The ipod supposedly plays music dvd's..

Does anyone know how I can get it on to my ipod.... Before I have a meltdown...!:mad:

    your a little confused.
    you would need ot rip that dvd,then convert it to the ipods format.
    you cant just transfer the files straight over

    You might want to look for a free program called HandBrake, which converts DVDs to iPod compatable files - it is often found on the cover discs for Mac magazines (I have it on a copy of iPod User magazine I picked up on one of those market mag stands!)

    what is the position on copyright infringement etc? Should you be ripping DVDs?

    Would there be copyright infringement when you have bought and own the music dvd.. you are just choosing to watch it via the ipod rather than through the computer..
