Replacement for Strimmer
Options
I need to replace a strimmer. I've always found replacing the cord very fiddly, so I've been thinking about getting one with replaceable plastic blades. I've been wondering how durable these are, and whether they are more trouble and expense than they worth. I need, for example, to cut grass against a wall, which my mower misses.

Not very durable at all from personal experience. Stick with the cord.0

The replacement I got has a more updated spool which is quick, easy and reliable.
You just squeeze and pull the string to extend it. Just a basic model and I'm thinking is probably general.
I've had the replacement for a few years and not needed to replace.
Just avoid the double string ones.
Every mower and strimmer I've bought has both types of cutter, string and blades so you can try each.viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

Feeding wasn't a problem. The part I find fiddly is winding two lengths of cord onto the spool and keep them both in place during reassembly.0

You can still get the one spool..........though I had to go to the local hardware to get one.Black and Decker if I remember without going out in the cold to look.
