IPark Services / DCB Legal Court Claim - defence

  • Looks like we're getting the full mileage out of this one then.

Ironically an email was also received from DCB today.
    The usual copypaste template sent out to everyone;
WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS
We write to you in relation to the above matter.
To assist the Court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client may be prepared to settle this case. I can confirm our Client would be agreeable to £200.00 in full and final settlement of this Claim. The current outstanding balance is £258.72.
Should you be agreeable to this offer, please confirm the same within 7 days. Payment can be made via our website www.dcblegal.co.uk, by calling our office on 0203 838 7038 or via bank transfer:
Upon receipt of the settlement sum of £200.00 we will update the Court that the matter has been settled. If you are not agreeable, we will continue to follow the Court process as normal. '

I know the concept is to ignore these, but it feels like it deserves an ironic response. Who knows, it might even speed up their discontinuation...

Regardless, not been in a great space health wise recently, but I will try and get the WS bundle prepared in the next 2 weeks and not leave it until the last minute. I'm also slightly hopeful these time vampires just drop it, like the rest of these time wasting cases.

Deadline is 4pm on 6th September.

    Dear all,
Apologies for the lack of updates. Been having a family emergency recently and it has retracted a lot of time away from this. WS would've been prepared and on this forum for feedback.
I'll be honest, based on so many cases, I was expecting discontinuation by now. Just exactly how late are they going to leave it?!

They have until 2pm on Thurs 5th Sep to pay the court fee and all statements must be submitted by 4pm on Fri 6th Sep.

For the record I did also send an ironic response back as suggested by this clearly hasn't changed anything... unless tomorrow is the day.
I also haven't received anything from them yet in terms of WS.

Patience. They are still hoping you are low-hanging fruit on the gullible tree and are going to fold like a piece of origami out of fear and ignorance.

I reckon send your WS & evidence a day early and they'll discontinue.

    Here we go ..... 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
