Two Separate Car Insurance Policies - One Claim - Do I declare on both renewals

Options
Hi,

I have two car insurance policies:

1.  My own longstanding car insurance (1990-current) for a car that I have owned since 2014.  This policy (for year 2023/24 =Aviva) holds my NCD and it is protected.
My partner is a named driver on this policy and unfortunately in March 2023, during my 2022/23 policy year, had an accident and after I submitted a claim to the then insurer Zenith, sadly after much discussion with the 3rd party insurer, in August 2023, my partner was found to be at fault  & Zenith accepted liability & settled claim.  When I renewed in May 2023 for 2023/24 policy year I declared this claim and moved to Aviva (after much comparison activities)

2.  During lockdown my elderly father stopped driving and so I became the main driver of his car although he remained the legal owner.  When the insurance was due in May 2023, Dad decided to gift me the car so as owner I took out a policy in my name with Churchill.  (Taking out 2 separate policies was cheaper than both under for eg Admiral).

So at the end of May 2024 both policies are due for renewal.  My partner is buying my original car from me (ie car that is insured under policy No1) and he has his own insurance history/NCD etc and will source his own insurance poilicy.   I will then only own one car ie Dad's car and so when I come to do insurance renewal quote comparisons and it asks for details of claims/accidents do I declare the accident/claim that my partner had whilst driving on the other insurance policy held by me?

Thanks as always

Yes it needs to be declared on Car 2... if they are a ND on this car as well then put it under their name, if they aren't then it goes under your name... joys of being the policyholder.
