Vinopolis Inflexibility

We received two tasting school tickets (@£59 each) on the same Xmas same day we announced my wife is pregnant. They have to be used by June and the baby's due in August. She can't use them and despite my charm, pleas and irritation they have point blank refused to refund or extend the period we can use them by more than one month and tell me I'm wasting my time to write to the CEO. This is unwarranted inflexibility that borders on customer contempt. Seems unwinable but any suggestions would be very welcome. Many thanks.

Sell them on ebay?

Sorry, but Vinopolis do not have to be flexible. The t & c's are clear when they are purchased, it isn't their fault that your friends didn't know that your wife is pregnant.

Of course they do not have to, but this is about being reasonable. They lose little or nothing by extending it for 6 or 12 months.

I would definitely write to HO and take it further with them.

Good customer service shouldn`t have to be dragged out of a company of this size.

You should mention in the letter that the staff said the CEO wouldn't care, and that you're sure that's not the public image such a well known organisation would wish to project....
