Had a couple of Aldi shops since I last logged in. Lost track a bit of spends but my bank app seems to track it well. Including a wine and cheese shop while in holiday in France the grand total is £211.29/£250.

  • My final total is £79.14/£80. Bought a couple of doughnuts (no regrets). Still got some store ingredients left but run down a lot of dry goods and fresh food. Only rice left for carbs. Meals already prepped for tomorrow
  • I'm declaring at £200 this month - next month will be a lot lower hopefully as I'm doing my vegan storecupboard challenge - I'll declare weekly in May

Eek… I’ve been missing in action but only in person… I have budgeted and also now got a Hyperjar with a structured pot for groceries. I budgeted £400 for Mid April until Mid May and have spent £ 231.31 with £168.69 remaining.  I’ve bought cleaning and toiletries for the month so should be achievable. Feel so much more in control than I did in Feb… gone from spending £700+ in a month so massive achievement

Mid April to Mid May £400 budget, on track and going into May with £168.69 (don’t need anything until Thursday) 😊

Gosh, well done @number_23 that sort of reduction took me years to achieve (and maintain)
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

The problem with doing a big CostCo shop is that it feels like you shouldn't need to go to the shop ever again, which isn't how it works unfortunately.

5 little shops and a big shop in the last week.
