I've just been trying to register onthe HSBC banking app and it wants me to tap nearly 400 times from Jauary 2000 back to my birthday to enter my date of birth! Unbelievable. Anybody else had this problem? I can't seem to be able to enter it manually.

I think I know what you mean. I can't speak for HSBC specifically but I have encountered something similar to this on other apps. Sometimes if you tap the month or year it might let you go back by month or year instead of by day which should speed things up.
