Is there any specific reason I shouldnt use bathroom paint in my poorly ventilated kitchen?
I cant seem to find the finish we want in a kitchen paint.

I can't see why you can't do this - I've found the Zinsser stuff is the most mould resistant if that's something you're interested in.
I would look at ventilation too though, is there an extractor fan that you could upgrade to one with a humidstat, or the possibility of installing one?1 -
Kitchen paint is supposed to be more grease resistant, bathroom more moisture resistant.1

Both are a marketing con to charge you more money, vinyl silk will do the job just as well."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "2

Probably a minor difference in formulation, but some brands sell Kitchen and Bathroom paint, so its basically just moisture resistant paint. I've used them interchangeably with no issues. I always do ceilings with them in K&B's.

Dulux Easycare Washable & Tough Matt - Interior - Dulux
Homebase Kitchen Matt Paint - Pure Brilliant White 2.5L | Homebase
Homebase Tough & Durable Matt Paint Opal Cream - 2.5L | HomebaseI always do ceilings with them in K&B's.Or you can use the above matt, as matt is normally recommended for ceilings, as it hides the imperfections better.
