Morning all. Another early start for me.
Yesterday's Band practice went well and we now have a couple of extra tunes sorted to play this season.
Today I'm off down the M1 again for an all day Morris practice. Will make a sandwich to take with me and I've also made a spiced ginger cake to share at break time. I didn't manage to watch the last match of the 6N yesterday so am about to catch up with that before I need to go out.
Raining here again. Will it ever end?!13 -
Hi everyone,
Just a quick one while I'm enjoying a cup of tea in bed - my birthday treat.
Then it's all systems go because we are meeting Chris and Nate at the nearest NT place. Laura and the two E's will come as well. We have a late lunch booked so it's all treats today.
Have a good day.13 -
Morning All
Happy Birthday Snoozer, have a great day.
Yesterday morning was absolutely glorious, cold and sunny. By the afternoon it was tipping it down. Thankfully the washing was almost dry, just needed airing by the fire.
Lots done yesterday, bought some compost and planted some seeds in the greenhouse, made beds and gave the house a good airing. DS1 arrived with a van - he had been via the blue and yellow shed so he picked up the new bed for me and took the other one away - I'll get that built up sometime. Lovely dinner out and they went away via DD's for a quick visit.
I was telling a friend about the bus I went on to meet Gers the other week so we're going on a little trip to Inveraray, hope the weather stays fine as it's looking a bit gloomy out there.
Hope everyone is well, have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX13 -
Happy Birthday @snoozer. Most of the NT places have lovely cafes.@Camelot - weather not wonderful but could clear up. Are you going to climb up to the folly? At least you have a more mobile companion, have a great day.@WL - happy band practice. My shopping trip yesterday took longer to get there than the actual shopping. The driving was very pleasant, banks of glorious daffodils have replaced the snowdrops with bluebells just throwing up leaves, they'll bloom later. Today I'll make a pot of soup, I used up one of my M&S jars of delicious soup for lunch yesterday so am in the mood for lentil and leek.9

Morning everyone happy birthday Snoozer I’m having a delayed birthday present today which is lunch out looking forward to it no cooking no washing up . It’s dull but dry here today but it doesn’t make any difference because I won’t be doing much today. I started at the top and worked my way through the house yesterday as I’ve had a lazy week but everything is nice and clean all washing caught up on until it starts again. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning everyone
A bit dull and drizzly this morning - yesterday was a lovely sunny day, little one and I spent time outside tidying up the garden.
Happy birthday Snoozer - hope you have a lovely day.
Thanks so much for all your kind wishes re my dad. He's tired but happy to be home. He said he was scared when he woke up in hospital because he didn't know where he was or what had happened the day before. DD is going to show my sister in law and I how to do his meds tomorrow morning - the tablets have to be crushed and liquids mixed with thickener. His food has to be pureed - he's eating everything quite happily so that's good. I think I said we have an extra carer going in at lunchtime just to keep an eye on things and other than that we are taking our instructions from DD who works as a carer and knows what she's talking about. Also has so much experience of looking after little one and doing all her meds - for a long while she was only allowed to drink if there was thickener mixed in. At least I have experience of doing that. She has lists stuck up on mams kitchen wall of what he's allowed to eat and his medication - mam doesn't seem to understand that he really can't eat anything else - no not even a jelly baby! Though she is 82 and hasn't had to deal with anything like this to be fair. He will be assessed again in a few weeks and hopefully will be able to eat again then.
Little one was so pleased to see him yesterday and to give a cuddle. We laughed cos she told him 'Great grandad I'm so pleased you had that lovely cheesecake last week for your birthday.'
I'm going down this morning and then I'm hoping to have a quiet day.
Eldest DD is in Vienna this weekend - she's competing in a pole dancing competition - as you do!
Topsy - I hope your son was successful with his PIP assessment.
Hope everyone has a good day - take care x

Morning allHappy birthday Snoozer, have a lovely dayOops I'm cross posting too. Glad to hear your Dad's home DP. Hope everything goes smoothly for his recoveryJust waiting for my T***o deliver to arrive. At least there's no problems with that after hearing about another supermarket's problems yesterday! The tumble dryer will have to be used for my towels as its going to be raining here for most of the day (they say it will clear up by noon, but I don't believe them!)Pasta and meatballs for dinner and then settle down for yet another sporty afternoon!Lots of {{hugs}} for everyone who needs one.9

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a bit gloomy out there but not raining yet! It doesn't look too promising but feels mild so I'll settle for that!
Happy Birthday SNOOZER have a lovely day out with the family. CAMELOT enjoy your trip out. I am envious, I have fond memories of Inveraray. Hope the weather is kind for you. DP1 I hope any news you have for us is better today.
I am in front of myself this morning, with veg prepped for lunch already. Today is going to be the day of sloth that didn't happen yesterday! DS rang to see if I could go shopping yesterday instead of today as he and his DP were going for a Spa day. The trouble with grocery shopping with DS is that it's such a rushed affair and I don't get chance to browse! I am whizzed round like a contestant on Supermarket Sweep, just grabbing what's on my list! Although I did manage to linger slightly by the fish section as my stocks in the freezer need building up a bit. I am partial to a nice bit of fish.
Have a good day all and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all and be safe xx
