Secure Trust Bank Access Account (Withdrawn)

Was looking at opening this account as a back up to my other 5% easy access accounts!

I have a couple that are dropping their rates in Apr/May.

It was still available last night, (Fri 15) but now seems to have been temporarily withdrawn!

The website is only showing their Fix Rate ISAs, both Access Account and Notice Accounts are showing:

“Sorry, this product isn’t available at  the moment”

I imagine from the wording, they may potentially reintroduce the account, but with lower interest rate!

The Cynergy Bank Easy Access (5.10%) account is still available, but I understand the login/access can be a bit of a faff!

I've used Cynergy for a while without issues, personally I don't mind their login process. It's one of those that I found to be a bit odd when I first started using it and but after a while you get used to it. Just type your user ID and password. Originally you needed to then scan an image using the authenticator app, input your 4 digit pin, which generates another code which you had to input to gain access to online banking, which was a bit of a faff but easy enough to do.

But they've recently modified their login process though so that once you've entered your user ID and password you now have the option of them sending an authorisation request to your app, which requires you to just click a button in the app and type in the 4 digit pin to accept it, which then automatically logs you in, and is much simpler IMHO.
