Voluntary Redundancy - Selection process seems illogical

    Is it just statutory redundancy on offer or something above that? If the former then perhaps it makes some sense - get rid of the actual low performers and those that don't really want to be there at lowest cost.

    Potentially, lowering performance intentionally might also backfire later on for some (reduced/no bonus, managed out, no pay rise, etc.)

    It’s an enhanced rate that’s been offered. Strangely, pay and bonus is not linked to performance so I would say that being managed out prior to redundancy seems to be the main risk. Not sure how easy that would be for the employer to do though - I guess it would depend on how drastic the action taken was?
