without wishing to get into the whole ipod debate... ipods are crap arent they. have had my 80gb one for about a year now and I hardly ever use it. i keep threatening to flog it on ebay but never get round to it. to make things "worse" when my mrs got a new phone contract they sent her an ipod classic (80gb) and that is still sat on top of a wardrobe untouched since november. am much happier with my usb dongle thingy.
One day it'll make its way to ebay or to a "lucky family member, but i dont see the big thing with ipods. great marketing thoughHating Hastings Direct!0 -
Prices are dropping at amazing speed, it really pays to wait till you really need it before diving in just because its cheap.
I have a few unused 512mb and 1gb ones that i bought because i thought they were cheap at the time.
It's amazing some of the prices high street retailers still get away with selling these for. I overheard some one in M&S ordering one from customer services, i dread to think how much they paid.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -

Oh and if the price drops in the next 30 days you can claim back the difference. I believe the Wii SD cards are a bit of a rip off and are not necessarily any better than a non-Wii card0 -

Actually I love my ipod and have as of yet not found a player better. I've got 2, a 3rd Generation 20gig(3 years old and still going strong) and a 2nd Generation 4GB ipod nano, would swap them for the world, use both daily.
My dad also has a 40gig 3G ipod(now given to my grandad), and he also has an 80gig video, and my sister also has a 4GB 2g ipod nano. We use them so much, they're just so easy to use, find songs in seconds with the menu, and itunes makes sure i always have my latest music on my ipod.
but anyways this has gone waaaay off topic.0 -

You're obviously young enough to have never had to copy vinyl onto cassette or you'd never complain about how long it takes to upload MP3's, LOL.
Ian.
Unfortunately not LOL. I spent many hours in my youth copying music in this way, and even more hours sat with my finger poised over the pause button of my cassette recorder waiting to tape stuff from the radio. But at least I could listen to the music whilst it was being copied
(Not directed at you Brockyman..)
I don't claim to be an expert on ipods or any other mp3 players, I just know that both ipods and sony mini-disc players have caused much misery in our house. My kids now have basic Sandisk mp3 players (courtesy of Santa) that they can drag and drop mp3s onto until their heart's content, or until they run out of space at least!
If a friend was to ask me which mp3 player to buy, I know which I'd recommend ... But then what would you expect from an ignorant Apple & Sony bashing woman
I will not be bullied or brainwashed into changing my mind about them either. Let's live and let live, eh? Each to their own and all that ...0 -
www.w2w.com is really cheap for memory cards. I've bought a couple from there and had no probs. Can't beat the SD card prices here but the Micro SD cards:
Kingston 1GB £5.59
Integral 2GB £9.49
These prices include free UK delivery too!0 -
