It's a Clio 5dr with A/C ('or similar') from Record Rent A Car via DoYouSpain for 8-22 Jan at Alicante. And that's on a full-to-full fuel basis too!
  • I've just booked through them but they say return the car empty as they will charge for a full tank - any ideas how much this would be? The best quote I had received prior to this was from Hertz but was £30 more expensive.

    Hi Fluffy.

Are you sure the hire is with Record? Their conditions are to return the car as it is supplied - usually full-to-full.

Incidentally, I see that Carjet are advertising an even lower price (yesterday's Daily Mail)! €74 per week. But, with the suppliers they use, it will almost certainly be full-to-empty.

Fuelling charges vary by supplier and by type of car. They start at about €55-60. That would compare with a pump price of €35-40.
  • Hi LesD, I just booked it through the DoYouSpain website - we are flying into Girona which is probably why it is with a different company. I have asked them to clarify the charges. There are very few hire car companies in girona so we might be a bit limited to choice. Still seems like a good deal. Thanks.
