Transfer large-ish amount from HSBC USA to HSBC UK

I welcome your help please.
I presently need to Transfer $100k++ usd from my HSBC USA located bank to my HSBC UK located bank.
To date I have used a currency exchange provider.
In today's banking world does HSBC internal money transfer system give as good as rates as a 3rd party currency exchange provider.

You could transfer to an USD currency account with HSBC UK which should be free from HSBC USA.
From there transfer to an HSBC UK Global Money Account to convert.
Not sure how it would compare to FX exchange providers.
Transferring USD direct from HSBC USA to GBP in HSBC UK would probably result in eye-watering FX rates.0 -
