When to claim Child Benefit for those making a new claim because of the HICBC changes

According to the Finance Bill published on parliament.uk a couple of days ago, any Child Benefit paid for weeks in 23/24 will be treated as paid for weeks in 24/25 for HICBC purposes, as long as the claim is made on or after 6th April.
This is relevant because a Child Benefit claim can be backdated for up to 3 months.
As such, it is worth making your claim on 6th (or 7th) April, in which case you would get 13 weeks of Child Benefit for weeks in 23/24, but it will still not be subject to the HICBC in 23/24.
