Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's a damp grey start this morning.
I couldn't log in yesterday, tried several times, though there was a notice saying that the site had technical problems. It was ok this morning though.
I haven't read back, so will pop back later and do that - for now I'll just wish everyone happy Friday.11 -
Morning All
I was ready to build the Ark again yesterday, it rained heavily all day. Better this morning but still gloomy.
I had a hair cut so feel much better now, house clean and tidy as I have visitors for dinner tonight. DS1 coming for the bed tomorrow at last. I'll be able to clean the room and get the new bed organised, I'm not doing well with the mess in there!
Glad you're on the mend Nanny, stay doing nothing!
Hope everyone is well.
Must dash, busy day at work and need to be home sharp. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. Thanks NMLC. CAMELOT I think you have sent your rain here, it's bucketing down.
Flying visit from me as I have an early doors appointment for my review at the docs. I dread these coming round. DD is picking me up at the start of the school run as the surgery is on the way to school. She is always at the last minute everywhere she goes so I hope she drops me there in time!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning allCountdown is now 20 days
We had a word with his boss about all the problems we've been having with him and we think he's been hauled over the coals as he's done a few things that we said had been neglected and has been keeping out of our way! We'll see what next week brings!
Just checked weather forecast and it says it will be dry today as I wanted to hang some washing on the line for the first time this year. Just looked out the window and it's bucketing down. Technology eh?Off out to do a food shop in a while and then I'll finishing ironing and putting away some of our holiday clothes. This afternoon I plan to sit down and catch up on a book I never finished on holiday before I forget the plot altogetherNot sure what's for dinner yet, I'll see what takes my fancy when I go shoppingHave a good day all x11 -
Morning all. Dry here so far.
We tried yet another route up to Market Harborough yesterday and DH thinks he might stick with this one. Visited a friend and then had lunch at a pub in Foxton; well, luckily we ordered a sandwich to share as it was a generous one and we felt too full for anything else for the rest of the dayI will own up to a piece of Toblerone once we got home but yesterday's dinner was postponed until today.
Today I have things to do at home so will get up and going soon.
Look after yourselves.10 -
Morning all. There was lots of low white cloud earlier and rain it may clear up yet.All the washing I did yesterday is on the airer in the spare room with the duvet cover draped over the bannister. The DW also did its thing and all put away. Apart from putting new laces in my shoes the rest of my day was very slothful.Today I'm going to the funeral service for my elderly neighbour, I won't be going to the purvey. His ashes will be scattered later on.Good to hear of people getting better. A wee gentle hug to Esther. And fingers crossed for @TA.10

Morning everyone
Firstly, Gers is a purvey a wake? I've never heard that word before.
My dad had pains in his chest on Wednesday morning, so my mam rang the doctors who sent a paramedic who sent for an ambulance. 60 miles down the road to our nearest hospital...the pains had stopped by the time he was there. Though we did find out from Tuesday nights carer that he'd been complaining of chest pain the night before but mam had told him he was fine!
It turned out he had had a stroke so he was kept in - not a bad one but worse than his usual TMIs he often has. It doesn't seem to have affected him physically but who knows how it has affected his brain. DD took my mam to see him yesterday and he was very confused, the doctor said it was nothing to do with the stroke, his dementia was being worsened by the fact that he was in hospital - he wants him discharged today if he's had a good night. They're on their way to the hospital now and hopefully he'll come home with them. Every time he tried to eat and drink he was choking so he has to just have pureed food and thickened drinks, we don't know how long for yet. My mam is, understandably, so upset by it all. So I've had little one after school the last couple of days and seem to have spent so much time on the phone keeping everyone updated.
Izzy when I had dizzy spells a while ago it was because of an ear infection.
Right I have a phone call to make to see if dad can get an extra carers visit each day .
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -

Sometimes referred to as a 'ham tea'!So sorry to read about your beloved Dad, your Mum must be overwhelmed by it all. I really hope that Dad can get the extra carers and be allowed home.9 -

I took the melatonin last night and my god ! What a difference I went up at 8 and took it then and was asleep by 9 which never happens ! I did wake at 1 for an hour but then slept till 9 this morning, I hope it continues to work as I feel so much better this morning.
