Tesco ticket, debt recovery plus

Got a ticket because the worker at tesco said I’m free to park there as long as I need too, and ended up getting a ticket and asked the manager why and she got rude saying I’m lying when I wasn’t. This was back in October, and they’ve been sending letters since first By horizon and most recently debt recovery saying if I don’t pay they’ll get the client to take court action, debts at £125, not sure what to do

First thing I would do is go further up the tree at Tesco, perhaps to Head Office, particularly if you can show regular big spends ( clubcard number would do that).

First thing is to read the Newbies/FAQ thread.

A life lesson learnt in that what "the worker" at Tesco told you is not worth the paper it wasn't written on.

So, please read the Newbies/FAQ thread and ignore the debt recovery letters as advised in that thread. Come back if/when you receive a real Letter of Claim and re-read the second post of the Newbies/FAQ thread.

Main thing - no phoning debt collectors and no paying.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
