I got a ticket in December from ncp regarding staying too long in Gatwick, but the conditions was very unclear on how long I had to stay hence why I overstayed, it’s been 3 months now and it’s at £100 from £60, it’s still from ncp, not sure to pay it or not, it said pay By start of March but I haven’t so will be expecting another letter from their ‘debt collectors’ as the letter says but not sure what to do

To save some time for the regulars - have you thoroughly read the Newbies thread ( sticky at the top of the forum)?. Oh, and never consider paying.1

It will be helpful to have pictures of the signs that made it unclear about how long you had. Many parking lots seem to use a variety of signs which highlight different bits of their rules. So one might say "2 hours parking" and another might say "2 hours parking between 8 and 12" and add "1 hour parking between 12 and 6". In those scenarios apparently you as the customer are supposed to be able to depend on the one that gives you more leeway - so "2 hours" even if it was after 12.
Someone will be along to tell you to read the stickies and follow the guidance in there. It can be very confusing in my opinion but the one thing I do know is never admit to who was driving.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Did you appeal at the time? If so, did you identify as the driver?
You, as the registered keeper, cannot be liable for the charge. Only the driver is liable and, unless you've identified yourself to them that you were driving, you cannot be liable for it.
Normally, an appeal with the following wording would get this cancelled:Re PCN: XXXXXXXX
VRM: AB12CDE
Date of issue: DD MMM YYYY
I am the registered keeper. Your NtK does not and cannot rely on PoFA 2012. As a matter of fact and law, NCP will be well aware that they cannot use the PoFA provisions to hold the keeper liable because Gatwick Airport is not 'relevant land'.
If Gatwick Airport wanted to hold owners or keepers liable under airport byelaws, that would be within the landowner's gift and another matter entirely. Not only is that not pleaded, it is also not legally possible because NCP is not the airport owner and your 'parking charge' is not and never attempts to be a penalty. It is created for NCPs own profit (as opposed to a byelaws penalty that goes to the public purse) and NCP has relied on contract law allegations of breach against the driver only. The registered keeper cannot be presumed to have been, nor pursued as the driver under some twisted interpretation of the law of agency.
NCP have no hope at POPLA, so you are urged to save us both a complete waste of time and cancel the PCN.1 -
I did not claim to be the driver, I jut ingored the letter, hoping it goes away one day😂 what do I do from now, keep ignoring it? Or appeal, will these tickets end up going court and getting bailiff involved or will it go eventually?0

Yes I have but I went to noobie forum and it’s very confusing, not sure where my situation is in in the forum0

I quite agree its very confusing. I don't think the regulars on this board realise how badly organised it is and completely overwhelming for someone who has never dealt with this before. I did ask at one point if they would consider doing a simple 1,2,3 guide but this was considered unnecessary.
I do suggest you submit the appeal as shown by nopcns above as that looks quite easy and straight forward. And then when that gets rejected (as they usually are) and you get sent something new come back and ask again. There's always at least someone that is willing to guide you a bit further along.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. There is no simple 1, 2, 3 guide and I'm not doing a flowchart. It's not confusing. It just needs reading.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
