Holiday insurance

Hello
My friend bought an annual travel insurance policy last year that covers up to 26th March this year. She is due to go on holiday on 6th April. She now has to cancel due to injury. Is she covered? She had insurance at the time of booking but unsure where she stands now as the insurance ends 26th March. Thanks!

Has she got "pre-departure" coverage?0

She needs to contact the insurer as policy cover can vary. When I did a search for travel cover I was surprised at the number of options which came up 'Excludes Cancellation'. She will need confirmation from her GP that she will be unfit to travel on the planned departure date.
