Uc from single to joint

So I’m due to be paid my single payment on 20th March my assessment period is 14th to 13th of every month and I changed it to a joint claim yesterday will I still get my single payment next week as I spoke to uc and was told it just gets carried over

If your assessment period finished on the 13th, and you reported that the change happened on the 13th, then your payment on the 20th (for the AP ending 13th March) will be based on you being on a joint claim.
This could be more or less than what you were getting on your single claim, depending on your partner's income and circumstances.1 -

Ok, so your joint claim should be more than what you were getting personally, although his single claim (if he had one) will also end, so overall you'll be worse off.0

Also, if you were claiming single person discount for council tax, you will need to report the changes to your local Authority as you will no longer be entitled to that.0
