Capital Gains Tax after selling rental property

In 2009, I sold my house and my husband and I bought a house together. We rented out my husband's house since then and have now sold it. Can we now share the capital gains allowance even though it was only in my husband's name?

If it's only in husbands name then I'm pretty sure you can't claim CGT allowance for it. Only your husband can.
And it drops to about £3k in April from £6k currently.0 -
Agree, too late to do anything about it.csp74 said:In 2009, I sold my house and my husband and I bought a house together. We rented out my husband's house since then and have now sold it. Can we now share the capital gains allowance even though it was only in my husband's name?
