Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, drier and mild is the forecast - we'll see.
Dinner last night chicken in a sauce, mash and veg, tonight I'm not sure, I'll find something.
Work ok, either chaotic or dead, likely to be busier for longer periods of time as busy time of year.
Working today then for the next 2 weeks have some time off, can't wait.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Quick one from me as I slept in a bit and was woken by the alarm which is very unusual - playing catch up now!
Haircut after work today thankfully, I look like a mop. Eyebrows done but they are a bit dark, hopefully they will fade a little over the next few days.
Hope everyone is well, enjoy your time off nmlc. Take care. XX11 -
How have i not discovered this area of the forum before? I am 64 retired with a love of coastal hiking and reading. Not sure what i am doing today but we are away for a few days to visit my daughter for her birthday then my nieces engagement party this weekend so will be packing and sorting out gifts and cards etc.
It is my DHs turn to cook and we have left over bolognese from yesterday so no doubt he will concoct something with that. No food shop today.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Morning all
Welcome enthusiasticsaver.DFs operation seemed to go ok and he ‘bounced’ out of the hospital 3 hours after a general anaesthetic with me struggling to keep up with him on the walk to the car - not bad for an 85 year old with rheumatoid arthritis 😂!
I’ve got some part time work for a few hours and also need to investigate a puddle in the foot well of DFs car. That, along with dog walking will be the morning gone! I did actually manage to get done more than I expected yesterday - finished all the craft stuff and had a huge clear up of bits of threads, fabric and general fluff!
Hope everyone enjoys their day and all the poorlies are feeling better soon

Morning all
Bright and sunny here for now but rain due later again. I’m off to collect Rob today and take him to work we are in the cafe today so will do some baking.
I phoned the Dr yesterday in desperation of not sleeping, I was awake till 3.30 the night before 🙁 and by some miracle they had an appointment in 10 minutes so I raced down there and saw the prescribing paramedic who has given me some melatonin to try, the chemist did not have it in yesterday so will go and collect later and hope it helps.
I am also having trouble with my new phone which basically only works when I am connected to Wi-Fi after many conversations with the provider they have decided that the phone is at fault and are sending me out a new one today, it’s very important that I have a phone when out with clients so I’m hoping this one works !
Dinner tonight will be bacon egg and chips, DD is working late so will eat dinner there. House is fairly tidy and tbh I don’t have the energy to clean much atm !
Enthusisticsaver Welcome xx
Nan I hope you are doing ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -

Morning all; and welcome to ES. You have a few busy days ahead. It's a bit dreary outside and seems to have been raining overnight. I slept OK though woke for a coughing fit. The cold dried up and headed chest-ward fairly quickly. Because of this I won't be going to my pool session this morning. There's no need to go out at all, I took sausages out of the freezer along with a portion of potato dauphinoise which have both been in there too long. I'll change the bed linen and do a white wash, so a small plan of activity at least. My late neighbour is being cremated today in a private event, the nearest crem is 72 miles away. There's a church service tomorrow in the small family church which I'll go to.Yesterday my nail appointment was good. I've now got clear BIAB on with a double layer on both thumbs and index fingers to maybe help stop the wearing down. I'm much happier about this now.Hugs to all our poorlies, those recovering, those who are sad and everyone who wants one.9

Hello all, i'm still here ! All going well (except some back pain and stiffness) but very slowly and I'm not very happy to just sit. Mr Fix It is being a star, he's doing the washing as I type. I had some lovely Mother's day presents from DD and a bouquet of flowers from a neighbour, I even had a box of chocolates from Dad.
Now I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for the nurse but it does mean that I have had the chance to read one of the new books that DD bought me. She's rang me last night as she's had parents evening but she is calling in to see me tonight after school. I've also had lovely videos calls with both DGC.
Hope everyone is ok. Belated happy birthday to TA and Izzy. Happy countdown to Suffolk Sue, I think that's who it was, apologies if I've got the wrong person.
Take care all
Nan xx
Sorry if I'm not making a lot of sense as I'm using a tablet because my laptop is too heavy and awkward to use.

Morning all.
I think today is meant to be the mildest day so far. We're off to see a friend in Leicestershire and will possibly stop off at Foxton Locks on the way home. Seeing as petrol has gone up to £1.53 around here we might fill up there before coming home.
Izzy: I hope you'll go and get checked out if that happens again.
RedRuby: fingers crossed for a good night's sleep for you.
Keep well everyone.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Enjoy your break away from work. It's a cloudy start for us but very mild - the mildest start we have had in quite some time. Long may it continue!
I had the usual good bus trip out with bus buddy yesterday. Of course we ended up in Skipton again. We are in a rut I think. No market on, just a couple of hardy souls at the very top end. The rain held off until after we had eaten and then the wind got up too, making it feel rather cold. So we were dodging in and out of the cs on the way back to the bus. I spotted a really nice M & S skirt, looked brand new, for £3 so I had to have it. That was my sole purchase, other than lunch!
After two days of excessive birthday eating I must jump back on the healthy eating wagon now for a few days. Going nowhere today so catching up on washing and cleaning is on the agenda.. But first I have my dosset boxes to fill. What an exciting day ahead!!
Have a good day folks if you can. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. IZZY I hope your dizzy day was a one off and doesn't come back. Welcome ENTHUSIASTIC SAVER. Nice to meet you. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Hi everyone,
Nanny, good to here about your progress.
Welcome ES, it's always nice to see a new face.
I lost yesterday to a migraine but feel ok today. The house is quiet with both children at nursery, Steve at golf and Brian in the office in London.
I heard from the Dr that they had referred me for an urgent 2 week appointment (it's only taken two years of visits and phone calls). It seems to be true what they say about women not getting the same care as men, Steve went to the Dr a couple of years ago suffering from heartburn and was referred straight away for an endoscopy, I've had pain and sickness for two years and still haven't had one. To be honest I'm pretty sure it's nothing sinister but there is always that little niggle when you hear other people's stories.
I will do something veggie for dinner tonight I think maybe baked sweet potatoes with black bean chilli, that went down very well the last time I made it. I also want to do some sewing, I'm trying to get back into the habit although it's still quite difficult to find the time and space.
Have a good day.9
