How can I stop PC (W10) notifying me about emails .. sometimes a day late

I have a Yahoo email address, so can easily access this via the computer (Yahoo site) or on my phone (through a 3rd party app) but for some reason, my computer also notifies me too ..but sometimes this is a day later. This is annoying, as I will have normally already read the message, or indeed replied to, or acted upon it.

It seems something to do with Google .. how can i stop this please
