Hi all
my elderly mother has told me that on a couple of occasions when she’s put money on her electric key the company are taking money, for instance she put £60 on Sunday and the supplier took £20
when she queried this on a former occasion she was told it’s for charges
shes always had a payg meter and never been in debt it never goes below £20 before she puts more on
i told her to contact cab but she’s reluctant is there anyone she can contact regarding this apart from the supplier as they just say it’s charges
thanks

Check for a debt on the meter or calculate standing charges.
What is the kWh usage for the £60 and how many days.1 -
Hi multifuelburner thanks for the reply
I will calculate the standing charges and ask about kwh and how many days and post back0 -
@Kolakuble2021 The company make not talk to you as you are not the account holder.
Be with her when she speaks to them and then she can hand the phone to you.
Can you also get a letter from her authorising you to speak on her behalf - also for phone, water , council, doctor .........Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1
