I have spent the last 6 hours on this and have been sent round and round in circles.

Yesterday I was doing housekeeping and decluttering and without meaning to I must have accidentally deleted all  my sent and inbox emails for my business. I was absolutely mortified when I got to my desk today to find them all gone.

Inbox is empty.
Sent is empty.
Trash is empty.
Spam is empty.
Folders which I created to store email threads with important individuals are all there but empty.

It does not matter whether I look at my gmail account on Thunderbird on my HD or online, or via my phone, they are all gone, every single one of them.

When I look at where they are stored on my harddrive in the Thunderbird folder, the folders are there but all are empty.

I tried to use System Restore but it is switched off.

This is an utter disaster and I must find a way to get them back. I need to refer back to convos I have had with many businesses and clients.

These emails are SO important that I cannot imagine why on earth I would delete them. And yet I suppose somehow I must have done.

I've been googling and youtubing this problem all day and got nowhere except dizzy from going round in circles.

Can anyone please help me?
