Rule out other things too. If you live near or in a big block of flats, and one person has a microwave on, wireless is useless for a pretty big distance all around (microwaves work at ~2.4GHz, same as wireless, and the magnitude of the "noise" from the microwave usually dwarves the wireless signals.) It used to be a nightmare at tea time in my flat, there was always someone in a nearby house doing a TV dinner.Russia is HERE0

I can do a search devices, and the only two MAC comming up belong to the one's in our house.
Maybe now I am paranoid, and no-one is actually using my wirless outside the house?
If someone is hacking into your relatively insecure WEP network, they would spoof a valid MAC address, which is why MAC address filtering is as much use as a chocolate fire guard. IF you can use WPA, use it as it is much more secure, when used with a long random key from here. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
