Standalone Personal Possessions Insurance

We live in the property we also use for our B&B business and have full home contents and buildings insurance for the property, ourselves and all guests while staying here.  Unfortunately this year our broker could not find any insurers who could provide personal possessions cover for ouselves while away from home as part of this. 

Certain items are covered by insurance through our packaged bank accounts, e.g. smart phones.  But our high value items sucn as rings and musical instruments are only covered when we are staying away at pre-booked accommodation, not when we are out and about generally. Can anyone suggest a way to get standalone personal possessions cover?  I've tried searching the internet but all I come up with is personal possessions as an addon to home contents.

Cant say I've ever seen standalone PP cover, you can buy standalone insurance for classes of items, like jewellery for example, but you could struggle for more general items like handbags etc. 

I'd suggest approaching a different broker to look for a B&B policy, for example Direct Line for Business do offer PP cover on their B&B business
