Washing machine broke after 4 months what are my rights?

Bought a Bosch machine in September as the last one was good for 11 years. Broke down in 4 months. Several fault codes. 3 weeks and 2 engineer visits later, not fixed. I have asked for a replacement machine but they refuse saying its fixable. Can I demand compensation for the down time? What are my rights over this?

There’s a consumer board, where they can give you chapter and verse.

Generally, your rights are against the retailer, not the manufacturer.

When you say 2 engineer visits later, did they attempt a repair on both visits?  Because if they did and it was unsuccessful I think you can now ask for a refund or replacement.  In the case of a refund, I think they could make a deduction for 11 months worth of use, but I suspect within the first 12 months it's unlikely they would do that.  As @GDB2222 said you need to take this up with the retailer that you purchased it from.

Just to clarify, I agree with @Postik about the deduction, but it is only around 7 months since September.
