Recommend insurance but not just any insurance. There is a must exclude…..

Please recommend insurance company. I want to avoid a company I’ve had dealings with who are employed as third party consultants to the main insurers. My experience is backed up by trustpilot. I want insurance company recommendations where the main insurance company doesn’t use/employ a company called - innovation group. If there is no insurance company stating they don’t use IG, advise on how I can refuse to inc IG with my policy if there is any claim relating to environmental services that require their third party inclusion. I’m very keen never to deal with IG again either directly or indirectly.

You ultimately have no way of definitively avoiding any particular outsourcer as companies change their strategies all the time and all deals are retendered periodically so whilst you may select someone today who doesn't use them that doesn't stop them using them tomorrow.
Given they are now owned by Allianz you are probably best avoiding their stable of brands like LV=. They list Aviva, Axa and Zurich as their clients but that doesn't mean all policies written by these companies use them... many use a range of outsourcers depending on product etc. My own recent claim against Aviva was handled by Davies rather than IG.1 -
Thanks. I'm aware could change. Just want to know the main ones to avoid and your list if v. thorough. My experience of using IG as a third party, not a customer has seriously put me off them. They consistently prove to be incompetent and unprofessional so I don't want to knowingly purchase a service that continues to profit IG. Ultimately you don't really want to be making a claim but when you do you don't want it made more complicated by delays and poor communication. Hopefully the insurance companies will realise IG are no good and stop using them. Although I expect they use them because they are cheap. Buy Cheap - buy twice (get what you pay for).0

I completely understand your concern about avoiding third-party consultants like Innovation Group. When choosing an insurance provider, it’s always safer to go directly through the main insurer rather than brokers who might outsource claims. I recently found a helpful resource that explains how to select reliable insurers and even how to refuse third-party involvement in your policy. You can check on there website..-4

You cannot tell an insurer how to operate their business. You can ask if they use this company and then look elsewhere for insurance.0

A traditional broker simply helps the insured to prepare their claim to present to the insurer, most brokers dont have delegated claims handling authority. Some brokers do but then they tend to have standard terms and present themselves more as an insurer than a broker.
I dont think there is a materially larger use of TPAs in claim handling brokers than insurers. You dont gain much negotiating to have claims handling authority and then giving it away to a third party plus the insurer will insist on vetting/being part of the contract with the TPA so there isnt an opportunity to go on a fee share or such behind the insurers back.
Many direct insurers outsource some or all claims handling, some will do it all the time, some will do it only for certain classes of claims, some will do it only on a surge basis etc. Similarly if you buy a policy from someone today that does their claims in house there is no guarantee that tomorrow they won't sign a contract with a TPA to deal with claims surges or hand off dealing with portable tech claims etc. Aviva has a long history of going in cycles of doing everything in house and then outsourcing things again then bringing them back in for example.0
