Overcharged by British Gas
We repeatedly tried to get hold of British Gas asking them to check our smart meter that we felt was giving inaccurate readings. Our monthly bills have always been hugely excessive in the house we bought in 2018. After countless attempts finally managed to get an engineer over to our house in August 2023 who change our meter immediately telling us there was an issue. Since then our bills and usage have almost halved irrespective of unit price. We are desperately trying to get British Gas to respond and look into our situation in order to give us a refund that will span a 5 year period of overcharging.
We have tried the usual avenue of complaints but they are refusing to help. Can anyone advise?
