Most ridiculous buyer on EBay

Just wondering what daft requests you’ve had on EBay?
Prompted by me selling a used XBox game which to be honest I was just clearing out and expecting not much so I accepted £2 offer. To be followed by a message from buyer saying he didn’t have enough money on his debit card to cover it. (Separate question whether he had to put that prior to submitting offer but payment later declined?). Here I was assuming must be a ‘youngster’ otherwise cost of living crisis or not if you haven’t got £3 in your account you shouldn’t be buying games.
Anyway in the message said would have the money later but in the meantime they said and I quote, ‘feel free to send the game anyway’ as will pay later 😅.
To cap it all, all this without chance for me to respond (it was after midnight) , they then put in a request to cancel the purchase, reason bought in error.

I made an offer the other day, which was the first time I had bought an offers item since the system changed. (In fact I had to find a card reader to complete a security check to move money to my Chase account without even knowing if my offer would be accepted, as there wasn't enough money on the debit card.) Your non-payer shows how flawed that system is, as eBay have only checked that it is a valid card. Presumably they don't want the headache of holding the funds at the time of offer only to get complaints when funds aren't immediately available on the card following a decline.
Much preferred the old system - no cashback (except from the card itself) when eBay are in charge of making the payment. As usual, honest users punished because of those that shouldn't be on eBay.
My card was charged before eBay had even messaged me to advise offer accepted, so eBay must have tried to collect your buyer's payment and the card was declined.0
