(Apparently I'm a dinosaur, and "modern" users only fit m2 drives to the motherboard, with perhaps 1 or 2 2.5" drives, and they weren't even born when a 5" Bluray drive was A Thing......)

Of course real dinosaurs used to connect 5.25" floppy disk drives, and were pleasantly surprised when 3.5" drives came along, because not only were they smaller, they held more stuff as well.  Yes, a whole 1.4Mb, up from 360kb of the bigger item.  How did we cope with the excitement.

Real dinosaurs used coding sheets, punched cards and tape, and were very excited to finally get access to a dumb terminal with a keyboard and a CRT screen with green characters on a black background (I've been computing for a loooong time, started around 1975) :D

I started with the coding sheets, and a stack of punchcards came back that had to be submitted (usually to time-out due to a typo on the sheet), the most exiting thing I experienced was access to a new Commodore PET- the one with a chiclet keyboard.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
