Yes, which very often happens why you ask questions and fail to give all the information needed.chrislong said:Some people are easily confused............enquiring for elderly friend who does not have a computerThird party advice is always the worst to have to give and no one can give the correct advice without all the correct advice. As they don’t have a computer then I’d advise them to get some expert advice from an agency near them.2 -

People will be easily confused when you say:chrislong said:Some people are easily confused............enquiring for elderly friend who does not have a computer
If you had said 'someone', there would have been no confusion.chrislong said:Is there a savings limit that will stop me claiming universal credit
Does this 'elderly friend' meet the eligibility criteria for Universal Credit?
'elderly' and UC don't tend to go together.
GOV.UK is a good source of information on benefits:
Universal Credit: What Universal Credit is - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)Maybe you meant Pension Credit? To claim you must:
- live in the UK
- be aged 18 or over (there are some exceptions if you’re 16 to 17)
- be under State Pension age
- have £16,000 or less in money, savings and investments
Information on that benefit can also be found on the link above.
