Both my parents have been diagnosed with Parkinsons' and Dementia, while it is early days yet I am keen to understand if we will have issues with making any care claims in the future or benefits.
I am lucky enough to live on the same property as my parents with my husband and two children so technically while we live in separate buildings it is one property in regards to council tax, utilities etc. When we apply or do any assessments would my husband's and I income have to be included?

Only the income of your parents would be taken into account when making a financial assessment.

Before LPA etc.
A way to help was, my dad got his mum and dad added to his bank account with cheques and bank cards.
Then all their money ( savings etc ) and pensions were put into the account.
He could then pay their bills, plus add money if they ran short.
For you I think 2 LPA’S are needed.0 -
However it may highlight that there appears to be 2 occupied residential buildings but only one council tax0
