Hoping someone can advise. I have Avast installed and have had no problems atall with it. First of all I am a techno dumbo so please forgive ignorance.
Since last night I have been bombarded with these warnings: Suspicious Message
Warning. There are too many identical emails included in application time (or words to that effect). The only boxes to click on are Continue/Dont send. I don't know what to do. They do seem to be emails regarding Sex/Casino but the recipients are all email address not related to my computer.
Any ideas??? Much appreciated.

If you don't recognise the sender simply delete these spam messages. Never open e-mail unless you know who they are from. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Hi Espresso, thanks for the reply. These messages are not coming into my email box or anything like that. No they are Pop ups from Avast and within the box are the titles of the emails eg. Satisfy her/Be a real man/ Christmas gifts etc. I know what you mean about spam in an in box. All it says is Continue/Dont send but whatever I press, those pop ups still keep coming. It is worrying me.:oGrocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Do a few scans with anti-spyware software, in case you have a mass mailing trojan

I am not familiar with Avast but presumable it is scanning your incoming e-mails before they reach your inbox and it's asking what you want to do. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Expresso - for info, Avast does check/filter outgoing mail - the pop-up is flagging more than 5 messages with same subject or attachment inside 30 seconds, so a sender virus sounds likely.0

Of course the OP would know that, if they had bothered to read the User manual that accompanies the product, or clicked on the Help button. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Thanks for the sarcasm very helpful! I did explain that I dont understand these things and that is the reason I turned to this board for some help. I will never do so again. Enjoy your superiority in being an expert of technology!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Calm down dear, it's only a discussion forum! So you will read the manual next time then.
No sarcasm, just stating the bleeding obvious. If you have a computer, you should learn how to use it. Ignorance is no excuse and you are never too old to learn and that includes reading simple instruction manuals etc. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

How pathetic. I thought one learnt by asking questions. You should remember what Martin says and be nice to people on here and there is no such thing as a stupid question!:rolleyes:
No-one else who replied to my post felt the need to point out how ignorant I was, which means that you have a need to feel superior - hope you enjoy it.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
