Cons Rights when installation manual is incomplete or incorrect

Hi, just had 3 qualified plumbers unable to install a water heater to safety standards due to very poor installation instructions that came with the heater, (which I purchased). On phoning their helpline an unqualified call agent claimed that my plumbers couldn't know what they are doing.
These plumbers have worked in our home for 15+ years. They're excellent.
Suppliers of water heater won't take it back as installation has been attempted. What legal rights do I have against the suppliers for providing inadequate instructions, (which have been mainly written for the European, not UK, market)?

What resolution are you seeking? When did you buy the heater and how did you pay?If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales2

Where did you buy it from?
Is it UK approved?
Perhaps a electrician would be needed?
Next time, save some trouble. Let your plumber source the heater. Makes resolving any issues a lot easier, as you are only dealing with the plumber. Or 3?

you are very lucky to know three good plumbers I have problems getting hold of one !1

Yet another example of splitting responsibilities for supply and fit, when it's much better to get a professional to do both.1

Thanks all. Water heater was brand new and purchased online on 22/2/24. Paid by credit card. Credit card company willing to explore the option of trying to gain a refund from the company which provided the water heater.
What I would like to happen: I think that the company itself should be doing the right thing: providing installation instructions that conform to the G3 regulations for the UK; correcting errors in their additional instructions; admitting that they have made these mistakes and will refund my money.
It would help my case if I had a better understanding of the legal situation. That is, when a product is sold that requires installation to British safety standards, but insufficient information is given to permit the installer to meet those standards. Can anyone help with an explanation of the legal situation, please?
That said, Companies House will be issuing a First Gazette post against this company on Tuesday, (which could lead to the company being wound up).0
