The one thing that comes out of this thread (and others) is how scary care costs are...MIL had 3 visits a day when she came out of hospital after breaking a leg, but it was all council-provided so had no idea of costings for it. It seems to me that unless you live in the SE and have a shedload of equity in your house, you'd better hope you qualify for council care when needed. I suspect that even middle-earners would be hard pressed to save enough to afford a couple of years' worth of even low levels of care.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
