Home contents insurance: shared ownership, mortgage paid up: am I a tenant or a home owner?

I own 70% of my house and pay rent on the rest.  Am I a tenant or a homeowner for the purpose of  contents insurance?

Having previously been in your position, I would say you're a homeowner.  However it is not my opinion that matters.  You need to check with your home contents insurer

Asking is always the safest route but as your really a blend but more owner than renter so having to pick a single one makes perfect sense to chose the one you are more of.
