Hi, I have had a refusal letter and also a refusal after the reconsideration. I am going to appeal. I wish I had got advice prior to applying to be honest but now I'm looking to see if there are any agencies who can help me complete the appeal process in the way citizens advice would have done. Can anyone advise? Belfast based, Thanks in advance

Hi, I've been through the same, and in the end I won the case after it went to a tribunal. I was advised to contact a company whose name escapes me now, but they were based in Ligoneil, for help and representation. However they were less than useless and I ended up just doing it myself.
I just gathered as much information as I could from anyone who had contact with the child, i.e. teachers, childminders, parent volunteers who had supervised on school trips, and asked them to write a letter with their experiences of working with the child. I also gathered all information from the GP and any related medical teams that had dealt with them, and submitted it together to the panel.2 -

Has the child had any diagnoses?
And what are teachers saying about him?
Also how long did they take to make a decision1 -

What additional care do they need above and beyond that of a child their age without their difficulties?2

It goes on care needs, so what additional care needs does she have?
You might just be better to wait and apply again in 6 months and get help this time.1 -
