SCS cancellation

I ordered a new sofa on interest free credit on 1/2/24 for my new property. The estimated delivery date is 19/4/24 but sadly my buyer has pulled out so I won't be moving now and I have decided to stay where I am.I contacted SCS yesterday 4/3/24 to cancel the order but they said I can't as they only allow 7 days from order date to cancel it. I explained I can't take delivery of the new sofa and chair as it is way too big for my current property so I am keeping my existing small 2 seater sofa (I live in a very very small property) The sofa and chair have not even been manufactured yet. I'm a pensioner so money is already tight...can I do anything? Thank you

Did you place the order in store? If so, there’s no legal right to change your mind.1

Hello OP
If you ordered in store then as above there's no right to change your mind, however if you fail to fulfil your obligations under the contract they can only retain costs or loss of profits but not both so you would have to come to an agreement with them.
Best to try their head office as the store and customer services are less likely to have approval to cancel an orderIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1
