I have been researching on here and took heed the advice to ignore anything from debt collectors until a LBC but she has now received a Terminal Notice Pre Legal Action Letter advising her to instruct a solicitor to share DRP's details with! She then received a further letter from DRP telling her to create a payment plan. That shows how serious they were with their Terminal Notice Pre Legal Action Letter! She has made no contact with DRP.
As advised in the Newbies/FAQ thread, you can safely ignore anything and everything from DRP or any other debt collector. DRP are not a party to the contract that the driver allegedly breached with the PPC. They can instruct an imaginary solicitor until they are blue in the face but they cannot issue a claim for something they are not a contractual party to.
A real LBC will either be from the Claimant themselves or a solicitor on their instruction. A real LBC will give the defendant 30 days to respond (not 14 or 7 or whatever) and will include all the annex forms from the PAP (which are definitely NOT filled in).
This is the requirements for an LBC for a debt claim (para 3 applies):

Hi, I was wondering if the pre typed letter worked? I am in the same situation now. Thanks0

@troublemaker22 not heard anything back until today, despite sending the email you suggested back in March last year.My daughter has now received a LBC from Gladstones who have found our address using a trace service, they’ve apparently been sending letters to our old address so Horizon have still not updated their records with our new address despite her advising them of it last year!!The LBC is asking her to confirm this is now her correct address, does she reply using the template in the Newbies thread about ‘don’t send me your usual blather’ etc?! Or just a line to confirm her address and wait for further correspondence?I can’t believe they are still perusing this despite the NTK being non compliant!Thank you0
