UC carers element and working

I haven't been moved over from TC to UC yet but i am currently getting TC, IS and CA.
Can anyone tell me if when on UC (plus carers element and CA) whether you are allowed to do any part time work? If so is there a certain amount of hours or earnings?
I think on TC you are allowed to earn something like £130 a week along side caring for someone for 35+ hours?
Thank you in advance

There are no earnings or hour restrictions for claiming the carer element on UC.
[In practice the earnings restriction would be the point at which your earnings wipe out your entire UC award, which depends totally on your circumstances. But fairly unlikely to reach that if you're working part-time.]1 -
As you're also claiming carers allowance then the earnings limit is £139/week. This will increase from April. You do not need to claim CA to be entitled to Carers element.1

Thank you, I know as a Carer i wont be asked to look for work for UC but if i did do a little work (literally a couple of hours a week) would i need to meet the minimum income threshold or anything like that please?1

No, not at all. You will have no work requirements but equally no restrictions.THAAWT said:Thank you, I know as a Carer i wont be asked to look for work for UC but if i did do a little work (literally a couple of hours a week) would i need to meet the minimum income threshold or anything like that please?1
