Energy Tariff advice

Hi, I'm looking for advice on my next energy tariff as its not something I have kept up to date with in the past.

My yearly usage is approx.

Elec - 4243
Gas - 9985

I'm currently with EDF on the Standard Variable Tariff paying the following rates:

Elec
Standing Charge - 57.44p
Unit Rate - 27.80 per kWh

Gas
Standing Charge - 29.60p
Unit Rate - 7.34 per kWh

My current bill is £205 per month

I can switch to the following tariffs through EDF

EDF Essentials 1Yr Mar25v3 (Estimated £159 per month)

Elec
Standing Charge - 71.20p
Unit Rate - 22.55 per kWh

Gas
Standing Charge - 31.57p
Unit Rate - 5.81 per kWh

Exit Fee: £150

or

EDF Essentials 2Yr Mar26v3 (Estimated £163 per month)

Elec
Standing Charge - 71.20p
Unit Rate - 23.34 per kWh

Gas
Standing Charge - 31.57p
Unit Rate - 6.03 per kWh

Exit Fee: £250

My question is are those deals already taking into account the Price cap dropping on 1st April or would there be any benefit in me holding on a few more weeks to see if there's any further drop (appreciate its likely not as simple as that). I have done a comparison on a few switching sites and Octopus etc but nothing seems to considerably beat the offers from EDF.

Thanks in advance

Fixes are not subject to the price cap at this time, so you will be locked in at those figures until the end date.

Suggest you find the April 1st SV rates with EDF from t'internet and see how they compare.

I guess by "bills" you mean your monthly fixed direct debit, therefore is your account currently in credit or debit?

Yes, this will be priced in, as will predicted caps for subsequent quarters, its not difficult for them to work out.
